Heat Index Forecast – Summer School Update

Summer School Heat Index

The National Weather Service forecast for the Green Bay area anticipates a heat index above 95 degrees on Thursday, July 18 and more than 100 degrees on Friday, July 19. We are monitoring the weather and HSSD Summer School classes will be held as scheduled

Out of caution, we will move all outdoor classes inside Bay Port High School on Thursday and Friday and will adjust our activities accordingly.

If your students walk or bike to Summer School, please consider these tips from the Red Cross for staying safe in the heat. If you consider the weather too extreme for your child to attend, please call in the absence to the Summer School attendance line at 920-662-7844.

We will continue to monitor the forecast and will provide updates as necessary.
