Bay Port Listed Among America’s Top Public High Schools

Bay Port High School was featured among America’s Top High Schools of 2016 as determined by Newsweek. According to the report, the rankings are based on a broad range of data to assess which schools do the best job of preparing students for college.

Bay Port (396) was one of 21 Wisconsin high schools listed among the top 500, joining area schools De Pere (443), Oshkosh West (488), and Appleton North (492) in the rankings.

Third Annual Taste at Bay Port Event Set for Sept. 16

The third annual Taste at Bay Port event is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16 at Bay Port High School leading up to the varsity football game between Bay Port and Ashwaubenon. Local vendors will have delicious food for sale from 4:30-6:30 p.m. outside the main entrance to the athletics field. There will also be new and team-worn apparel for sale.

Menu items at the event will be available for $2-$4 each. Proceeds will benefit the Booster Club, which supports all athletics programs at Bay Port High School. Vendors include The Bar, Legends, La Java, Anduzzi’s, Rustique, Dunkin’ Donuts, River Street Pier, Mustard Seed Cafe, Olson’s Piggly Wiggly, Brainfreeze, Josephine’s, Townline, and Olde World Pastries Plus.

In conjunction with the Taste of Bay Port event, the Bay Port DECA and Sting Cancer organizations will be hosting “Bay Port vs. Cancer” to raise financial support for the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) fund. There will be a Kids Zone with bounce houses and carnival games and t-shirts for sale with a check presentation as part of the in-game festivities.
