The Green Bay Packers and Shopko, two organizations that work hard in their communities, recognized local 5th grader, Hannah, for her community involvement by naming her “Kick-Off Kid” for the pre-season game against the Rams on August 31st at Lambeau Field. Hannah was selected for the honor through Shopko’s “Kids Making a Difference” program- a program honoring outstanding leaders during the professional football season.

Wanting to help out her community, Hannah facilitated a coin-drive and raised nearly $400. The money raised went towards the Back to School Event, hosted by the Howard-Suamico School District Giving Tree Food Pantry, which provides families in need with free school supplies and backpacks, food, and clothing.

In addition to the once-in-a-lifetime experience of serving as Kick-Off-Kid tonight, Hannah will receive:

  • Four tickets to the Packers game
  • “Kids Making a Difference” story feature and photo on the back cover of the Packers game day program
  • Feature on Tundra Vision screen
  • Story and photo feature on Shopko.com

“When we read Hannah’s story, we were inspired by her passion to help students and families in need,” said Russ Steinhorst, Shopko CFO and Interim CEO. “We are grateful to stand-out individuals like Hannah and appreciate the Packers’ partnership in honoring these kids making a difference throughout the season.”
