Bay Port’s Fuller, Houtman Qualify for National History Day Competition
Freshmen Whitney Fuller and Lily Houtman will represent Bay Port High School at the National History Day competition in Washington D.C. June 14-18. The duo qualified for national honors at the recent statewide competition with their website presentation “Harvey Milk: Campaign Trail.” Congrats to Whitney and Lily!
Magnin Honored with Regional Pupil Services Award
Lynette Magnin of the Howard-Suamico School District has been awarded with a Regional Pupil Services Award from the Wisconsin Council of Administrators of Special Services (WCASS). Magnin (shown here on the left along with Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services Jerry Wieland) serves as a Program Support Coordinator for the district.
WCASS presented the Regional Awards at its ceremony in April recognizing high-quality services to children produced by or on behalf of employees of Wisconsin school districts.
The WCASS Regional Awards are presented annually in April. Regional Awards ceremonies take place at each region’s spring meeting. Categories of the Regional Awards are as follows: Mainstream Teacher Award or Integration Team Award, Administrator Award, Pupil Services Award, Special Education Paraprofessional Award, Related/Support Services Award, and Personal Achievement Award.
WCASS is the professional association for those employed in Wisconsin school districts, other educational institutions, professional educators, law firms who work with school districts, and businesses that provide goods and services to educational institutions. Walk-in registration is available at the Lineville Intermediate School library 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7. Computers will be available to register using Visa or MasterCard payment. Summer school staff will be available to assist using cash or check payment at registration. Classes close when they are full.
